We just returned from our trip to visit our grandchildren in Niceville, FL and wanted to tell you about a great campground we stayed at on our way home. It’s Lakeside Landing RV Park and Marina in Cropwell, AL (near Pell City, east of Birmingham). It is on beautiful Logan Martin Lake. With our Good Sam discount, we had a full hook-up site for under $20.00 (including tax). Of course it is off season, but even during the summer season it’s only $2.00 more per night. We had a lakefront site and it was quite beautiful. It was bitter cold with the wind blowing, but even though the water hookup froze during the night, we had no trouble unhooking and getting under way in the morning. I took these pictures from our patio. Though I didn’t get a picture of it, the full moon’s reflection on the lake that night was spectacular. |
