Joan & Danny's 2009 Trip to Colorado

Joan and Danny contributed these pictures of their recent trip to Colorado.

Since this is probably his last time to go there, thought we would share the beauty of Colorado. The elk weighed in at over 400 pounds. We are taking bags of meat to our kids in Florida. We'll be leaving this Saturday. Packing up for a month stay is always problematical. We either take too much or not enough. Our kids are having a anniversary party for us. It's our 40th. Second marriage for both of is.

We raised my 3 and his 2 children. Neither of us was capable of delivering any ours. Probably just as well. Those 5 were enough to keep us very busy. Our honeymoon was spent hunting and camping in North Florida. Attached is the only wedding picture we have from that trip. Camping has always been a big part of our lives. Our kids loved it too. We have many good memories of special times with them on camping trips in tents, truck campers, trailers. They were all grown and gone before we could afford a motorhome. They tell us that this is not camping. We tell them, "when you are our age, you'll think differently".

Hope OMS has a good winter and look forward to getting together in the Spring.
