Anne & Darrell recently spent some vacation time at Dale Hollow Lake. Lillydale Campground at Dale Hollow Lake is a very clean park, managed by the US Army Corps of Engineers. Anne said, "The lake is so clear you can see about 5 to 8 feet down. The fishing was great and the fish tasted even better. There were lots of ducks and geese on lake, which were fun to watch and feed. We were able to keep boats right at the campsites which made it nice."
Nice views of the campground.
It's time to do a little fishing.
Teaching the babies to swim.
This can't be good!
"Then we started home and that is another story. As you can see we're on the hook, but we met some really super folks during the break down time. We found some very honest people at the garage that worked on the motorhome. These people could have taken us to the cleaners but didn't. If anyone ever needs help in the Cookeville, TN area I would strongly recommend Bullington Repair Shop in Cookeville, TN. Their telephone number is (931)372-7467 or cell (931)261-0581. For wrecker service, we would recommend Watkins & Langford in Livingston, TN - (931)823-2370. These folks wouldn't have been more careful with their own rig, than they were with ours. They should be listed in the Good Sam Emergency Road Service as I gave them the number to call. It's the only wrecker service in that area with something large enough to tow us."
"It was a bad experience but we met the nicest people in the process; they even offered to cook us dinner. All in all, there were about 10 different people who stopped and offered to help. One man offered his hook up site with 30 amps for as long as we needed to stay. That just doesn't happen much anymore."
