The weekend ended much the same as it began, with one of our members having RV trouble on the road. Freda and Rod headed for home early on Sunday morning. As they traveled south on I-81, their motor home began to loose power and they eventually limped into a rest area, that was only a few miles from where Lena and Ed had a similar experience just three days earlier. It seemed, at the time, that they had developed transmission problems after encountering a bump in the road. They stopped and put in a call to Roadside Assistance. And then...along came Joe (Jaynes, that is), slow walkin', slow talkin' Joe. He stopped and offered what assistance he could. After a bit of looking around, they found a loose wire at the fuse panel. Once the wire was reattached, the problem went away. Freda and Rod cancelled the call for roadside assistance and were happily on their way, toward home, once again. It should be noted that Joe showed up at the rest area where Lena and Ed were stranded, also...Coincidence, we think not.
Now you know the rest of the story...
Thanks for coming everybody, we hope you enjoyed yourselves. The food that everyone contributed to the potluck dinner, on Friday evening, was terrific and the company was even better.
Please make your reservations for the June Campout at Creekwood Farm RV Park, as soon as possible. The campground management won't be able to hold our campsites much longer. Deborah and Joe have volunteered to host the campout, so come on out and support their effort.
