Lena and Ed left home around noon on Thursday, expecting to be at the campground Thursday afternoon.  Just north of Bristol, VA the engine started losing power and, shortly thereafter, died.  They managed to make it about half way up the ramp to a "trucks-only" rest area.  After a call to Good Sam Emergency Roadside Assistance, the tow truck arrived and towed the whole rig (truck and fifth wheel) back to Kingsport.  They wound-up spending the night in the back lot of JBR Pontiac-GMC.  It was not quite the campsite they had expected, but not too bad, considering the circumstances.  Thanks to the prompt and courteous attention of the JBR Service Department, the problem was quickly identified as the fuel filter.  The offending filter was promptly replaced and they were again underway by 9:00 AM Friday morning.  They arrived at Ft. Chiswell RV Park around noon on Friday.
