Deborah Ferraro, half of the Ferraro team, received her registered horseback riding instructor certification from NARHA (North American Riding for the Handicapped Association) July 27 in Franklin, TN.  To qualify, Deborah had to get Red Cross CPR and first aid certification; take three online courses about horses, disabilities and the NARHA organization; assist with Horseback riding classes for children and adults with disabilities for 25 hours; perform an evaluated riding test; and teach an evaluated class.  Deborah will now be instructing riding for special needs children and adults at Small Miracles in Kingsport and at Harmony Farms in Rock Ledge, Florida (when she and Joe are in Florida for the winter).
